It’s always been known as “the chapel”. Recently, however, as a means of recognizing two women who are deceased founding members of the parish, Fr. Tom began searching for a unique, proper name. After a year of considering many possibilities he decided. From now on it will be known formally and informally as “Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel”.
A small brass plaque just outside Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel mentions two women, both deceased, who, besides being founding members of the parish, were well-known as daily Mass attendees until one’s death and the other’s move to Alexian Village. Hedy Davenport and Mary Katharine Moore are recognized for their inspiration and devotion over the years.
The door is always open and Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel is available for prayer and meditation 24/7 year-round.
