Precious Blood Returns and EMHC Training
Starting with the weekend Masses April 22-23, we will offer Holy Communion in both species, that is you will have the option to receive the Precious Blood in addition to the consecrated host. The Church has always held that in the Eucharistic host one receives during the Communion Rite is the fullness of Christ’s Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity. Therefore, it is not necessary to receive the cup containing the Precious Blood. However, for those of you who want to drink from the cup, you will now have that option again.
